Domiciliary care is care that is provided in a person's own home rather than in a care home. Yes. CYAN Healthcare is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. CQC registration means we are accountable to national standards of safety, effectiveness, and quality of care.

We provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting), medication support, companionship and welfare visits, specialist support for clients with complex or mental health-related needs, live-in and visiting care, and post-hospital discharge support. Every care package is tailored individually, we don't use a one-size-fits-all approach.

Yes — and this is an area where CYAN Healthcare has genuine specialist experience. Our service is founded and led by a Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 20 years of clinical practice across inpatient, community, and home treatment settings. We are confident supporting clients with dementia-related behaviours, mental health histories, and complex needs that many smaller home care providers are less experienced with.

Home care can be funded in several ways. Many families fund care privately. If your loved one has been assessed by North Northamptonshire Council as eligible for care funding, they may receive a direct payment — money paid directly to them to arrange their own care, which can be used to commission CYAN Healthcare. In some cases, individuals with significant and complex health needs may be eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare funding. We are happy to discuss which options may apply to your situation.

This depends on the complexity of needs and the availability of our care team. In straightforward cases, we can often begin care within a few days of the initial assessment. Contact us to discuss your timescale and we'll do everything we can to respond to your situation.

Consistency matters to us. We work to ensure clients have a small, familiar team of carers rather than a constantly rotating roster of unfamiliar faces. This is particularly important for clients living with dementia or anxiety.
